I、Introduction to the Certification
ROHS is a mandatory standard established by the European Union legislation. Its full name is the "Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment" (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). It is mainly used to regulate the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, making them more conducive to human health and environmental protection.

The 27 member states of the European Union include (Britain withdrew from the EU in 2016), France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Romania.

- Monitoring and control instruments, including industrial ones
- Automatic vending machines
- Other items not included in the above categories
